FAQs

Accommodation and Travel are not included but we are able to advise on local hotels and restaurants to help you enjoy your stay and plan ahead.
We recommend only bringing what you need into the venue as there are no storage areas. We cannot store or hold luggage or bags. Coat rails may be available on a first come first served basis. Other belongings will need to be kept with you at all times. All items are held at your own risk.
There are no official changing rooms available but there plenty of places to change including the toilets.
All venues are disabled-friendly and have accessibility for all attendees. We ask choir leaders to notify us within good time of any disabled access requirements so we can accommodate them and ensure a great experience for everyone. Whilst we cannot guarantee seating or special requests, we will do everything possible to accommodate.
During the workshops, we recommend casual-wear - there is no fixed dress code. For maximum flexibility, we suggest layers. For both concerts, performers are requested to wear their normal choir uniform. Those only attending as part of the festival choir, should wear all-black.
The festival is in conference-style, so everyone attends all workshops together in one venue. All attendees are expected to attend all sessions.
All workshop music will be taught by either rote or with lyrics/music printed in our complimentary festival programme which is given to all attendees upon arrival. We do not use an OHP to ensure maximum engagement at all our events. There is nothing to prepare ahead of the event.
Refreshments including tea and coffee are included. Attendees are recommended to ensure they have snacks and water with them. There is a full service cafe on-site with fresh and delicious meals and snacks including breakfast!
There is good parking at all our venues along with access for coaches and buses. Full details are provided in the information packs available shortly before the event.
Choirs have the option of performing in the Performance Showcase which concludes the day. We encourage all choirs to perform, and whilst it is not mandatory, choirs get a fantastic experience from doing so, as almost all choirs perform. Choirs are welcome to perform up to 3 songs lasting no more than 8 minutes in a cappella, with acoustic instruments (a grand piano is available for use) or backing track. Shortly before the festival, choir leaders will be requested to submit details of their performance information. We will also require details of voice splits for stage planning. The festival is non-competitive.
Unless otherwise advised, attendees are welcome to take photographs and videos (without the use of flash) during the festival.
