UK Choir Festival 2026
JOIN US AT THE STUNNING ST ALBANS CATHEDRAL

CELEBRATING 10 YEARS IN STYLE
Join us for our flagship anniversary weekend, culminating in a spectacular festival concert at the iconic St Albans Cathedral. To mark our 10th anniversary, we present an inspiring weekend of world-class learning, collaboration, and performance.
The festival begins with a full day of dynamic, uplifting workshops at St Albans High School for Girls, led by some of the UK’s most respected choral workshop leaders, specialising in pop, vocal technique, classical, and gospel music.
On day two, choirs continue developing the festival repertoire selected by our expert leaders, alongside dedicated mastermind performance sessions designed to prepare for the grand evening festival concert at the magnificent St Albans Cathedral.
For the first time, this celebratory concert will be open to the general public, bringing singers and audiences together for a truly landmark event.

Sounding Sublime: Refining Choral Sound with Charles MacDougall
Unlock the tools to transform your choir’s sound! In this energising and highly interactive session, we’ll dive into six key elements of great choral singing—resonance, vowels, listening, ensemble, balance, and voicing. You’ll leave with practical, adaptable exercises ranging from super‑accessible to more advanced, helping you refine your choir’s sound no matter where they are on their journey. Whether seasoned or beginner singer or singing leader, this workshop will expand your toolkit and elevate the music you are already creating.
Morning Break

The Pop & Rock Workshop with Craig Lees
The Pop Vocal Toolkit is a high-energy, hands-on session introducing singers to the core techniques that shape a contemporary choral sound. We’ll explore how to create clean, speech-led tone, unify conversational pop diction and lock into rhythmic grooves that give modern songs their drive. The workshop focuses on building a vibrant, blended sound without losing individuality, while adding stylistic touches—slides, scoops, and expressive phrasing—that bring pop repertoire to life. Expect an uplifting atmosphere, practical coaching, and the thrill of hearing the group transform in real time. Perfect for choirs looking to refresh their sound and step confidently into today’s pop style.
